Well, as stated somewhere above, the guys behind EVE Online have fused with White Wolf and are working on an online version of the new World of Darkness. I am certain this will have some vampires in them :) . I really do hope that they also include the other splats, at least the main ones (Werewolf: the Forsaken and Mage: the Awakening). Prometheans and Changelings would also be cool. But afaik it was not too long ago that they started the work, so I'll probably even finish university before it is released.

i thought this was a good game, the consept of becoming a vampire was amazing, and biting people. sadly they did spoil the game

by puting npc that you couldnt talk 2

most people you cant talk 2

and you got like seduction you use your points 2 be able 2 pick locks or hack and then you are put up against a boss u need 2 fight with

i love the idea of a vampire RPG, but the quest barely join
you do things which are pointless, like save the girl in the hospital and turning her into a ghoul, then she drinks more of your blood, i was hoping you could turn her into a vampire 2 help you

but no she gets killed soo all that was pointless

i love this game only because its got vampires and its rpg but really its not been thought through with the story line

the ending for me was dissapointing, very unhappy with the ending

i only wish theres a 3rd installment of the game with better storyline, be able 2 customize your character, more freeroming, yes there is in bloodlines but its not really big, you cant do much just quests which are poor.

if anyone does have news of a new vampire game coming out, comment back please

The blasted installer demands that I have Windows XP installed. I DO have windows xp installed, just the x64 edition of it. Anyone know any way around this?

Random, sleep-deprived, possibly conflicting points, in the spirit of Malkav:

Dark Times? This was the day of Half-Life 2! The day before (after?), in fact! I thought 2004 was generally regarded as a big year for PC gaming. Anyway, Doom 3 and DXIW were damn good games, judged for what they should have been rather than what they were.

I can't help thinking that the ennui was at least partly due to the letdown frequently experienced when playing a fondly remembered game several years later. And you should have finished before passing judgment. Reviewer ethics, peh - is this what you do in the day job? You reading this, Tim?

I've played Bloodlines through twice and still have the vague intention to do a third run as a Malkavian (but I'll never get round to it - probably just as well?). To be honest, the warm glow from the good bits carried me through to the end, blind to the combat slog and just wanting to complete the experience. And with no regrets.

- As an experienced gamer, you should be familiar with the peculiar gaming-universe distinction between 2D and 3D doors (relatively speaking). See that door that looks like it's painted on? It's not a door! Just act like you're in a hall of mirrors and you'll be a lot happier. Or not. Anyway, I don't remember having many problems with doors in this game.

- I always thought of this as the first attempt at an 'action-RPG' rather than the last 'immersive sim'. Isn't that label what every RPG should aspire to?

- The Nosferatu hiding aspect is underdone: you can move in the streets easily enough as long as you don't hang around or get too close to civs.

-which of the fan-patches is it that's regularly included on the PCG disc?

- DO open the box, it's funny. If you feel like you wasted you time, play every ending from your last save, like everyone else does.

I adore Bloodlines. I'm well aware that it's far from perfect, but it struck a chord in me that makes it one of my favourite games of all time. The script, the atmosphere, the moments of moral complexity that don't patronise you with twee rewards. The Haunted Hotel.

Usually when I finish a game, it has already outstayed its welcome and I've just been trying to finish it. On other rare occasions I'll feel sated at the conclusion of a good game. Bloodlines is the only game that has made me feel grief, almost like a physical blow, when I realised that it was finished and that it had done so badly (commercially) that there would be no sequel.

I know that the game is flawed and that all the best moments of the game are frontloaded before fading to increasing amounts of combat and emptiness, but the best parts of it are wonderful and memorable.

I'm replaying this at the moment, and it's so easy to forget just how incredible the first 10-15 hours of the game really is. The community patch basically fixes everything that was broken on release, and the best elements of the game remain unequaled in game design.
