New Bloggery: Play This Thing

There’s a new (perhaps relaunched) alternative/indie gaming blog on the block, and it’s being run by those folks from the indie games portal, Manifesto Games. It’s called Play This Thing, and it promises to link and discuss a work of independent gaming every day. We’ll be reading it (and no doubt linking to its content on occasion) so perhaps you should too.

Is this actually new? I’ve seen it described elsewhere as new, but it has content going back to May. Did they rename and relaunch an existing blog?

  2. Yeah, I think it’s the blog archive from the Manifesto site itself.

The archives go back to May, because that’s when I started pouring content into the site, then under development. (I suppose I could go into mySQL and changed the “posted on” date or something, but it hardly seems worth the bother.) I figured better to have a depth of inventory at start. Yes, a lot of the older reviews are basically stuff I’d written for the Manifesto Games site, although some are drawn from my blog or elsewhere.

Thanks for the link, btw, Jim.
