the link to the video is just a link to a jpg, you want to point it here:

re: the city generator. It all looks very interesting, I can't wait to see what they make with it. Hell, I can't wait for anything new from them. When defcon came out, I bought it straight away, even though I didn't even have access to the internet!

The link to the Introversion blog is missing its http://.

Thanks for doing the interview - Introversion produce great games, and although I'd heard about the experiments they were doing with procedural generation for Subversion, I didn't know that Multiwinia was coming out next year.

That news has made me ridiculously happy. I loved Darwinia (user interface aside) but being only a single-player campaign I've only ever played it through twice. Not that this is really a problem, because a good single-player game is a hugely fulfilling experience.

Like Bioshock probably is, if it would work.

But surely using this technology, the world will be Inconvenient. What with all these Al-Gore-rithims...

I think I just broke the funny. Sorry.

On a serious note, and I don't care how cheesy it sounds, I am in full agreement that the PC is quite literally the best platform to nuture the indie scene, and it's obvious from the cues the consoles are taking from the headway made on the PC - would we really be seeing things like XNA and the old Net Yaroze if it wasn't for the PC? I doubt it.

On an Introversion level - I'm really looking forward to Multiwinia and Subversion - and it's almost like they can do no wrong. I hope Subversion could be their first game to incoporate both single and multiplayer elements in the same game...
