I found the screenshots a bit dissapointing in the past too, but then I saw that teaser-trailer and other new shiny ships in motion and I think it’s awesome now. Biggest advantage of the new graphics that it gives you much more a sense of scale of the ships, since all the models are in much high resolution and more detailed.

So I’m looking forward to it, I hope it’ll be out in a couple of weeks. And then there’s Ambulation, which is something I really want aswell.

They aren’t *all* sihnier. Most of them seem to have had the specular highlights tuned down, and with the better lighting engine they loko much better.
