getting ultima underworld to run in win 2000/xp has been largely fruitless

It's possible to get UW running in win NT/2000/XP with the uw2wnt patch
(http://www.sircabirus.com/ultimaunderworld/pages/index.html).

matte_k, I also ordered from Valve-store, and got it much more quickly than I thought possible. Kudos for swift delivery even when it was just before Christmas.

As to email comments, it is a great feature, though I don't _have_ any suggestions, just wondering what the Portal team will be doing as Chell finished 'Portal' by blowing up GLaDOS

Just received a hooded top from the Valve Store in the post today, only ordered it wednesday. So from Washington State to Tennesse (?) then to the UK, that's 3-4 days? I don't think i've ever had such a prompt response, my respect for Valve is increased considerably by that and this interview. I also like what he said about a new guy in finance contributing ideas to the Heavy movie, what a great way of doing things- if it's valid, or useful, they LISTEN. Outstanding. Also, the commentary idea implemented with Episode 1, Gabe actually requests you email him what you thought of the game-direct feedback, straight to the people making your games. If only more publishers/developers implemented this, we might put an end to wasted money and development time...

I like to think of them reading it out very fast without pause for breath.

Sort of like Zero Punctuation in fact. Hm.

Wow. That's a fine example of how the lack of commas and full stops makes a piece of text incomprehensible.

RPS: I have a friend (an idiot) who is determined that in six months Valve will be owned by either Microsoft or EA…

Gabe: Tell him that I’m not interested in buying either one of them.

Truly brilliant, Gabe is simply brilliant
