That’s fair enough, he’s obviously an intelligent guy and got (at the very least) some very good ideas about what games should be and involve…

At the very least it is interesting to note that his rise (and notoriety?) in video gaming came from essentially doing and setting up things NOT what was wanted from his supervisors…

(I find it interesting that people pick up on the stuff they consider arrogant, but not on the stuff that’s openly self-lacerating. The word I’d use is “Candid”.)
