Seasons Greetings From Valve

By John Walker on December 23rd, 2007 at 12:39 pm.

How can we not post this?

Merry Thankmas, Gametrailers

Did they get a choir to sing it, or is it magical digital music? I’m too inept to know. What matters is that they bothered.

  8. roBurky says:

I hadn’t noticed the first few times I’d been linked to that, but the decorations on the tree are the TF2 characters in taunt poses. Awesome.

  9. Martin says:

Can someone confirm that Zygorator isn’t yanking everyones chain? I’ve watched the bloody thing ten times in a row and can’t find anything that changes.

That could of course just be me being blind so you don’t need to tell me what changes – as we lack spoiler tags, just that something changes.

    report

  10. Zygorator says:

Ah! just checked again, and it seems to happen randomly.

    report

  11. go says:

    didn’t find any changes

Once again we get awesome fan service from Valve that somehow TOTALLY avoids being ass-kissy. Gods among men.

  13. go says:

well, it somehow didnt work in my browser (just stopped looping after ca 20 times), but you are supposed to see this:

    I was totally expecting G-man, though…

    report

  14. Zeh says:

Zygorator: it’s random, 1 chance in 15 of happening.

    report

  15. Seniath says:

Adorable on so many levels, from the Santa sign, to the gnome, to, well, everything really.

    report

  16. Alex says:

I literally JUST finished Portal (Blasphemy, I know, but I just borrowed the Orange Box off a friend… I’m poor.)

Now I understand everything you were all saying!
    That … song!

    Must… fight … urge … to replay!
    So many other games!

    Genius.

    report

  17. Peewee says:

Yeah.. ugh. Kind of them, but pretty effortless.

    report

  18. Veri says:

I find that pretty neat, and considering what with everyone whining about everything in TF2 and who knows what else, I appreciate their effort for the small gesture.

    report

  19. FaceOmeter says:

Love the gnome. Fly, my pretty one!

    report

  20. Andrew B says:

I was looking for the TF2 content in the scene, because I saw one of the stockings had its logo.
I then realized the characters were all the ornaments on the tree.

    Yay Valve!

    report

  21. Why are there [Supply] crates in this portal video unless this is some kind of non-time paradox clue?

    report

  22. Kaltano says:

I -love- the turret tucked behind the crates in the darkness watching over bait… the cake is a lie!

    report

  23. lold0ngs says:

    Most overrated shit. Evar.
