I’ve just talked to Tchounga and it seems Montjoie will be released in French *and English* in ‘a few weeks’ time.

Chris… Don’t let that BGG score put you off trying the demo. It’s been a while since a strategy game sample remained on my HD this long.

Avez-vous joué à la démo de Monjoie ? Vous devriez. C’est très bon. Tchounga Games, un jeune studio francais, a pris un jeu de plateau relativement obscur sur la Guerre de Cent Ans pour en faire le genre de jeu de stratégie au tour par tour que les vieux habitués de wargames comme moi adorent.

I’m generally interested in board game conversions, but the board game in question got a 6.4/10 on BBG, which isn’t very good. Anything in the 6 range generally means you don’t really care for it, but it’s better than a sharp poke in the eye.

The question is whether there *will* be an English version. I didn’t see anything mentioning that.

Good try. Last time you guys pointed me into the direction of a board game, I ended up buying it and spending christmas playing the damned thing instead of meeting friends and family.

I won’t fall for it this time!
