Some OLD Starcraft, Yesteryear.
The Blizzard mothership sends word that the signups for their World Wide Invitational in Paris are now open. The event, which will take place on the 28th and 29th of June, will showcase “the skills of top eSports gamers from around the world” as well as Blizzard’s formidable armory of games. “We look forward to bringing the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational to Europe for the first time and sharing our latest news with players there,” said Blizzard’s Level 70 CEO, Mike Morhaime. “In addition to the great tournament gaming that will be taking place at the event, we’re planning an entertaining show for all attendees.”

The event will contain all the usual conference news, cosplay, and whooping, as well as hands-on play with World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II. Woo. Tickets are £55.

Your url is brokened. Other than that, I think I may end up going. ’tis my girlfriends birthday around then, and she’s still a WoW-fiend. And hell, wouldn’t say no to getting to play SC2 early.

Great country France, and you should be chuffed to see more events in Europe – makes a change from pandering to the Septics all the time.

  6. Nallen says:

£55! Fuck off! What kind of ego do you have to have to charge people to go play your Alphas.

    News flash: Quakecon.

Also, what is that horrible, muddy, compression riddled screenshot of?
