The World In Conflict expansion, Soviet Assault, (possibly standalone, that’s not quite clear) is also the first outing of the game on the consoles. In this video Massive’s Martin Walfisz (who we recently interviewed) talks up the game, without actually revealing anything about the new features. These are reportedly voice-commands to summon reinforcements, and a new Soviet-faction single-player campaign. Anyway, there’s some great footage of the game in action, and if anyone hasn’t played it yet, the demo is here.

Holy crap that video is full of “Look our many trophies!“.
I hate that. In fact I relate that to money delivered to reviewers [and publications], more than I relate it to a good game.

Awesome game – but no bugger bought it on the pc as the specs were pretty high.

The game is hugely scaleable and doesn’t even have very high requirements, I thought it ran very well indeed.
I finished the main campaign last night, despite it crashing so very much. Love it, one of the best RTS campaigns I’ve played and a hugely fun game.
Shame it crashes every single time I play it.
