After yesterday’s Verdict, quickly following is my review of Nations Forever for Eurogamer. It begins like this:
At 1.30am last night, I couldn’t tell you whether I loved or hated TrackMania. What I can tell you is that I was playing it. Or more specifically, playing one track. Again and again. Determined to beat it. Increasingly tired, and as such increasingly unable to make the perfectly timed turns to get that Gold medal that sat between me and sleep.
And then carries on when you click here. (But don’t click here).

I didn’t get it for a second. Then I got it.
Oh my god.
Excellent stuff. Even if you did instantly misread my comment addressing the typical “my pc won’t run this” which accompanies every PC review on that site :) Looking at it again, I think I may have misread that comment too. So, a total fuck up then. Like every EG comments thread!
Anyway, you’ve “sold” it to me. Time for a download.
I make it my business to misread and misunderstand everything I read, so it’s nothing personal. And if you imply that about my sister again, I’ll knock your block off.
Awesome car :D
Err whilst driving a cock and two balls is all good fun I prefer to drive for Team Pakistan.
I love this game we need an RPS leader board.
Beat my time win 5 [paypal'd] euros off me:

@ John Walker: Well worth the wait ;)
@ Radiant: You could do that by creating an RPS group if you have United Forever…
@Radiant: Got 24.28, where’s my 5 euros? ;)

(PS: I assume you’d be notified or sth that I beat your time since I used that link. If not, well, I guess I could send you the replay or something.)
I don’t think it does notify you [I'm on nations waiting for united from amazon with the 3d goggles].
I have no idea how you managed to shave .20 seconds off my time and as there is no link to the ghost it never happened!
I’m not welshing! I just want to see it!

Trackmania Nations: The best game i have played… for two days. After that, i got to the point where you have to repeat 30 times (average, it can be more) a track to pass it. Then i finished my current track and deleted the game.
Radiant: The ingame mail system didn’t seem to work, so here’s the link: tmtp://#score=nakke:A01-Race:24280:91F467D0
You don’t really need to send 5e btw, just wanted to try to beat your time :) You’ll find that there is quite a big speedbooster thing you can do in maps like this one.
I agree with previous posters that the game gets much too hard very quickly. No racing game has ever passed the perfection that was PGR2’s medal system.
Whoa you weren’t pulling a fast one.
What speedbooster thing?
You’re pokemons show them to me!
My mate just kicked my arse too.

I have a 24.33″ as official time in A01 and 24.26″ in training (tmtp://#score=Kismet:A01-Race:24260:4926342D). :)
TMUF RPS group?
The trick is to fly as little as possible, but land as fast as possible ;)
Regarding the ‘don’t click here’, RPS has got me doing up all my game characters/vehicles in finest pimp style. I just want a fleet painter for SoaSE so I can do all my ships up in pink and powder blue.
Homeworld was best for that sort of thing. Particularly the gloriously phallic ion array frigates.
this story is exactly what happened to me when i got this game… wierd
