I was thinking last night, and I realised that gaming’s not about Sonic and Mario anymore.

Played this at GameGrad or whatever and it’s pretty good, has a nice rewind feature which actually makes racing more fun, as you can take more risks without fearing an instant terminal damage screen.

Realism ftw. Why do they keep saying this’ll be an realistic game, when everybody knows it’ll be the same arcadefest DiRT (love that way of spelling btw, great job marketing team) was. A real realistic driving game won’t sell the amounts Codemasters would want a game to sell. Especially not a game they hype this much.

Apparantly, DiRT is an acronym for Distance = Rate x Time…
But then again, that’s probably a backronym or something…

Nakke, I don’t understand it either – they have a great marketing department though I’ll give them that.

I believe they are referring to the environments in the game. The LOOK and FEEL of it all. That is what they want to come across as real. But since it is a game first and foremost it has to be fun. I think they are doing a great job with it and cannot wait to play it myself.
