Sounds fantastic, sweet article too.

It’s like LARPing, but, as you said, stripped right down to the bones. All you need is some folk, and you can play it. I remember me and some friends were looking to play some Mafia (/ assassin/ werewolf), but we never got round to it. Would have been great though.

Hey,

Thanks very much for the write-up – glad you enjoyed the game. Every time we’ve run it I’ve been staggered by the relentlessly brilliant deviousness of the smugglers. Every time I’ve tried to up the ante in terms of what they have to smuggle but they pretty much always find a way.

I’m thinking for next time I want to see if we can’t get a few more uncontrollable things involved – possibly a dog, or a goldfish in a bowl, an alarm clock that might go off at any moment… we’ll see.

if onyl the GameOn festival down on in Melbourne atm had anything like this, rather than relatively boring archaic gaming memorabilia and history. Federation Square would be a brilliant locale to take part in some of this!

we’re currently in the middle of four games of Werewolf ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(game) ).
it’s pretty noisy but enormous fun, people have been walking in and joining games all evening so don’t worry too much about the signup forms on the site.
