And since when do Germans call their fathers "Dad" and their mothers "Mom"?! I haven't been there in 8 years, I'll admit, but I haven't ever heard that.

Demoman unchanged? If you're going to have British accents at least give him a real one! But the engineer should be a Scot too (there's a long history of Scottish engineers), and you couldn't really detect a Glasgow accent on the Pyro anyway... Norn Irish sniper is a bit close-to-the-bone but would have to be done regardless...

Also, "lol" (as they say) at Erlam's comment

"And “Kopfschuß” would have been correct until ten years ago, but since german ortography went through a reform you use “ss” instead of “ß” in most cases."

Those Germans, always trying to get the SS back into everything.

About the different accents thing: they did it in Hogs of War, at least in the italian localization, and it was great, so I believe it would be a very good idea for a fan project indeed.

Not a big fan of the word "censorship" when it is, like in this case, nobody but the publisher itself who unnecessarily cut the game. It carelessly wastes the word for opportunities where there *really* is censorship.

Strange thing, in my game the censorship was suddenly gone for a few days, then the rubber ducks where back after the next update.
Now all the gore seems to be back again for good *shrug*
In never missed violence, but I have to agree that its quite an advantage ingame to have the obvious hit detection the splattering blood provides, instead of the small green drops in the censored version.

I think the sync should stick to authentic foreign accents.
The idea of having different national dialects ist hilarious, though. Maybe a cool fan project. I can talk saarländisch, the famous accent of "Familie Heinz Becker", which character would that be?

The Episode 2 Issue you can easily fix with a patch, but since TF2 is an online game there are still major issues with servers not letting you play with a “fixed” game, at least from what I experienced when I tried it the last time.

The bloodpatch I got works with TF2 - enjoying splatter without problems. But the TF2 censorship really isn't that bad!

I have to concur, the toy parts never bothered me in the slightest. I'm more bothered by the senseless amounts of blood and gore, to be honest.

I have to agree with what Megaman and Batolemaeus said.
I also found out quite late, that the German version of TF2 was censored, and was actually quite suprised.
I always thought the mechanical parts and the lack of blood were quite consistent with TF2's look and feel.
Normally I'm very annoyed by and informed about cencorship in German versions, but in the case of TF2 it was totally ok and absolutely authentic.

I agree, Tf2 actually looks more consistant without gore.

Ep2, on the other hand, is just plain ugly.

I didn't even know until now that the german version is censored. From day one I thought the mechanical parts, toys and stuff were a perfect match for the look and style of TF2, and I don't need blood and gore either.
