The player felt a bit...'stiff', for lack of a better word. Your turning and position changes didn't feel close to fluid. I understand them not being instant, but Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon and the likes did stance transition, leaning, turning, and such much better. I could be screwing up my dates, but I don't remember the two being that far apart.

It felt more like I was puppet mastering a soldier about instead of playing a soldier, if that makes any sense. And that's really my only compliant with OpFP.

I guess the only sure way to answer my question is to try to search for a demo when I get home :)

Slightly OT, but:

Ok, so now that the patches are out and all, ArmA, worth it?

I played the OpFP for a bit briefly, but was turned off by it feeling a bit 'clunky' compared to other mil-sim shooters. So is the clunkyiness fixed?

Heh, I spent about 2 years playing around editing OpFlashpoint... I haven't spent as much time playing with ArmA, but it definitely still resonates.

Anyone who hasn't played ArmA recently should note that the latest patch kills the CD-check (you can play without having to dig out the DVD from wherever the hell you put it), and adds Warfare, made by the same guy who built MF-Capture the Island for OFP. I spent many happy hours lanning MFCTI in flashpoint, and Warfare is just as good but with an extra layer of polish through it being an 'official' BIS addition. I love the new stuff that BIS keep randomly throwing into the game every so often :)

As usual it's quite subtle, look closer at the image. If you've played OpFlash/ArmA it should click - for those that haven't; red = enemy, blue = neutral, green = friendly.
