The Dispenser Mod

So I wonder: when people like Bit-Tech post comprehensive instructions on how to build incredibly lavish case mods, does anyone actually go ahead and do it? Have you ever gone and modded up your case or monitor to look like something it isn’t? I’ve got some nice stickers on mine… but that’s about it.

Anyway, go take a look, the next project from arch-modder Ton Khowdee is How To make the make a full-on TF2 sentry gun case. The crazy fool.

Um, actually I didn’t make it – I just wrote the guide. Like you, my PC case has little more than a few added stickers and tweaked cooling.

The actual mod was built by Ton Khowdee. :)

  2. Joe says:

    @ Lu
That one exactly, actually. Ton is also going to make a Sapper and Teleporter as well!

  3. Lu-Tze says:

The teleporter was born to be a ridiculously finger crushing desklight.

  4. Man Raised By Puffins says:

Blimey, someone has even made a dispenser in Spore. They’ve also made a tele and there’s a whole mess of sentrys out there.

  5. Theory says:

Meh, I couldn’t be bothered clicking through all those pages to see the end result.

  6. sigh says:

I love TF2 as much as the next guy, but I have to say it’s getting a little overexposed within the PC community. I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t hear a thing about it until the Heavy update.

    Anyways, cool pic.

  7. The Hammer says:

That is a bloody lovely case right there. Especially when lit up. It’s so clean and fresh. The screen is a wonderful touch.

  8. Eddie Aitken says:

    Oh man!!!! I want it.

  9. sana says:

So, is the Dispenser the monitor to the sentry’s PC? How about a teleporter keyboard?

  10. DSX says:

Not as many people monitor mod, though I suppose my own effort of replacing two menu wheels with Guinness bottle caps via some super glue and a pen-knife hardly counts.

  11. windlab says:

It’s pretty cool to see elements of TF2 realised.

By the way, Bit-Tech didn’t post instructions, they just featured the project log of a current forum mod.
