the imperial guard i think was the best out of all the races and i hope they put them in, no, noone does understand the stupidity of eldar, seriously chaos and necrons were the best, stuff eldar and bring back Imperial guard

still dawn of war is getting better and although there is no base building apparently you can still upgrade stuff, and i love the idea of the rpg style menu where you get armor. this game looks great

I have been saving up this rant for over a month of looking through DOW forums so here goes.
Point number one THE PLURAL OF ELDAR IS NOT ‘ELDARS’, I MEAN COME ON!!!!
Secondly, eldar suck at open combat. It’s not what they do. They ambush you. And despite what the new trailer would have you believe they are supremely good at it. Unfortunately Relic can’t afford to offend Space marine fans by suggesting that they can be beaten in combat so they make a half hearted attempt at evening the casualties in the video. I’m not one of those people that think that a certain race is/should be unbeatable so don’t take this the wrong way. I am just defending a race that very few people seem to understand. It seems that everytime eldar are portrayed in game terms they are arrogant poncey snobs with no forsight. Yes they are arrogant and effeminate but the one thing they do not lack is forsight. ‘Farseer’ is not just an honourific term.
There we go. rant over. Now I’m just going to sit in the corner and cry myself to sleep.

Also they’re not “space elves”…and don’t you think Adeptus Astartes sounds much cooler than “space marines” or is that just the american influence…soon we’ll have Borraca The Emperor Barma…probably misspelt lol but still you get my point…they aren’t marines.

Just a theory but at the end of the cgi trailer you see two moons and a cloud (possibly a spore cloud I know) but if you look closely at the cloud it looks like a wolf…maybe that along with the moons is a hint that they’re putting in some luna wolves? Also possibly some post heresy Horus’ children giving chaos a new look as we haven’t seen them yet?

Sphilk: You did know that Harlequins are now a unit in the new standard Eldar codex, right?

I forget what fluff justifies this, it’s just nice knowing they’re there. And Harlequins were also included in DoW Dark Crusade as a singular Eldar unit, so yes, you can be reasonably sure you’re just looking at the plain old Eldar faction.
