i can't imagine that nintendo wouldn't go apeshit over this and try to sue over their name/image/device being used in this manner.

defamation of trademark or something?

Heheh, I read about this game shortly after the game jam, the article had some hilarious descriptions of how the team were waving a sign around during the team-up stage saying "We need sound people - with us, you are GOD" and how the sound techs came out of the office looking very very harried indeed. Apparently they had to go over hours upon hours of porn flicks to find the best sounds to use. I'm guessing that's enough to turn you off porn forever.

Big money. Wish I had some wiimotes so I could take this down to the office and own my colleagues. They'll be walking funny for a week!

What I saw: a wiimote-based PC games where two players need to move their Wiimotes in increasing rhythm. Success is greeted by a moan, failure by an "ouch". A cute commentary on sex in social games, as well as a chance for players to laugh at the awkwardness of sex and take pride in their accomplishment.

What I see: look, relaxed attitudes about sex aside, the human brain is pretty good at sexualizing everything. The moans and "honey, wrong hole" gags are funny and all, but you'll get even more resonance out of them if you abstract further. The Peggle soundFX folks can make an inhuman orgasm that will satisfy far more than a recorded moan. Besides, the point of the game is that you're playing with someone, and looking at that person, not the screen. Do the feedback right, and s/he'll do the moaning for you.

You don't need sex visuals either, but mood lighting and a score counter (I suppose you'd score the team, but if you were malicious, you could have a "competitive" mode too) would help -- especially when you get into the 2x and 3x scoring "boneus time"

How would I influence the gameplay? The core mechanic (jerking the Wiimote in increasing rhythm) needs flesh on it. One possibility is to have a training mode where each player figures out a base set of moves (some randomly determined, some picked up from the player's inherent rhythm: maybe play some complex African musical piece during the training, and see how the player reacts to the various beats) that are effective. Another is to have the game pick them entirely or partially randomly.
In any case, it can't just be a 1-dimensional rhythm. There's gotta be some side-to-side

Now, for the match: Both players start with a "heat level" of 1. Each player has an ideal motion (e.g., 3/4 vertical to horizontal oscillations, or 2/1, or whatever) that is initially unknown. When Player 1 performs something in tune with ideal motion/rhythm of Player 2, Player 2's "Heat Level" goes up by a predefined amount (but random within a selected range), and Player 2's controller emits a pleasing sound that increases in frequency along with heat level, and points go up. When Player 1 goes against Player 2's rhythm, Player 2's Wiimote emits a rumble, and the heat level drops, and a point penalty is assessed.
Scoring is multiplied by the heat level of both players, so two players with a heat level of 4 will have a multiplier of 16. Likewise, the mood lighting on the screen reflects the combined heat level.
When either player hits maximum heat, a jackpot round begins, with plenty of audio and visual effects, and huge score multipliers, while the jackpot player's heat drops exponentially towards zero. (If they score enough points for a bonus round, their heat goes to, say, .5)
Double jackpots are huge scorers.
The game ends when either player hits 0 heat, whether post-jackpot or from an incompetent partner.

For an added twist, you can modulate the players' rhythm to music, either bundled 70's porn scores a la guitar hero, or the players' own tracks, a la AudioSurf (best in the world at Barry White!).

I mean, why have a computer voice say "Yes, yes, more of that, don't stop!", when you can get one of the players to do so, and keep an ESRB "E" rating?

Call it Beat Happening, put it on Steam, and you'll make a wad.
