Point ‘n’ click magi Zoetrope Interactive have released a trailer for another Darkness Within game, Darkness Within: The Dark Lineage. The first person imagery suggests it’ll be more real-time exploration-like than the previous game, but that seems unlikely given the extreme point-’n'-bored-now nature of the previous game.

The shadows from the wires around the glass lantern is just annoying.
It all looks far too smooth and pre-rendered.
Watching this half asleep at work, that actually shook me up a bit. Ghastly.
Real time? Nahh, that’ll be a cut-scene. Doesn’t really tell us anything about the game, but I enjoyed the first one – it was nicely atmospheric and did a few interesting things, if not always very well.
I enjoyed the first one, and that was a damn good trailer. Almost certainly pre-rendered, and really, I don’t mind an indie adventure game being an adventure game. ;)
Welcome to my nightmares.
I’ve never heard of this series of games before, but it was better than most game trailers – although that lamp swinging around for no reason really broke the mood at points.
Shonny, haf u sheen ma denshures?
Seriously, the shadow cast by the wire frame around the lantern wouldn’t be that pronounced… the shadow would be barely visible. Oh well, whatever.
I tried playing the first one but gave up as it was so tedious. Plus the writing was like a pre-teen’s painfully bad Lovecraft fan fiction. How did they seriously come up with a name like Loath Nolder?
Ahaha
