…or so machinima of this calibre makes me think. Splendid, Looney Toonian stuff.
Thanks to Matt Slim (if that is indeed his real name) for the tip.

That was it?! Meh!
Less “We want to be employed as animators”
More R Kelly (the only mildly funny bit)

Funnily enough, I could tell it was French long before the word Fin came up, the styling and wackiness of it combined with the choice of music was a bit of a give-away.
Some of the body crumpling/leg animations seemed slightly odd though, but its otherwise fairly enjoyable.

@Larington: I would imagine the “présente” right at the beginning gave it away ;)

Is it really machinima if it’s done in 3dsmax?

I would love to see a 20 min short for TF2, but I think a full movie would overstay its welcome.

Ahh, TF2 machinima – love it.
I still think my favourite TF2 machinima so far is Temp Fortress 2.

temp fortress 2 was hilarious, cheers monkfish.

Great stuff, still fond of Ignis Solus though. Also, Pulp Fortress 2 for the lip-synch, and the Team Roomba stuff still cracks me up-the scout’s pop quiz is particularly amusing…

I was ready to put money on there being a Dr. Strangelove shot. Shows what I know.

Some animations were a bit abrupt and awkward and the comedic timing wasn’t too great, but good nonetheless.

hahaha Temp Fortress is fantastic! The Solly part is my favorite.

For those who don’t know, ‘Gogol’ is french slang for ‘Retard’
29/09/2008 at 07:29 Alex Grose says:
Lunaran: All was done by exporting the models into 3DS Max and then put against GMod backgrounds. The final nuke scene was done in GMod alone.
29/09/2008 at 07:58 Tei says:
If has been created in 3DMax, is not machinima. Machinima is using the game engine. Using other engine is “cheating”.</pedantic>

Alex Grose: Why does everyone always say these things were made in Gmod?!…
29/09/2008 at 17:07 Nahual says:
@sockpuppetclock
If it’s supposed to be machinima, it has to be done with the game engine, and gmod is basically the best way to go around it with the source engine.
I liked the short, yeah, animation was a bit strange at times, but still it’s new animation for the models, which is always good to see. Thumbs up.
