I think I’d really like a zombie shooter in which the camera is from a random nearby zombie view. If you shoot it the camera switches to another zombie view. The disorientation would counter the slow, shambling of your enemies.

Also, The FOV issue could be fixed with multiple definitions. Although I thought FOW or Fog of War was the commonly used term.
