Sorry to veer off topic somewhat, but regarding Hinterland, how are the fairly frequent updates being received? I've noticed in Steam every second game update listed appears to be a bug being stamped out. Good on them for taking advantage of the platform, I say.

I think people wont mind paying a modest sum for a slightly unfinished but playable game if they can expect frequent fixes until it's solid.

Fans of Gettysburg (and I'm one) may want to check out Civil War: Bull Run from a couple of years ago. It's 3D an' shit.

I was disappointed with Hinterland, very promising but it was little better than most freeware. Will skip this.

Sid's Gettysburg is still one of my favourite games ever. Civil War... ftw! Here's hoping this is the best game in the world ever released.

I actually owned the board game Mosby's Raiders in the late 1980s and behold a mere two decades later...

I'm hoping this will be good and will ignore the grognards who will no doubt pull it to bits.

Would've been nice to know about this earlier, as would've passed on the very average Hinterland...
But I guess there's Tilted Mill cunning behind that.

Hmmm. In principle, yay. In practice, I have my doubts. It's not like Tilted Mill have any real experience with tactical/strategic combat games, and combat in the city building games they do have experience with tends to be terrible. Still, I'm all for more Civil War games. Here's hoping Creative Assembly use their Empire: Total War engine for one.
