Mousechief has explicitly said they wouldn’t do an edited version, so I’m certain that the game on steam is DHSGIT as it was intended.

I think I might get this from Steam, but I want to know if the game has been edited in any way. Does anyone know? Is this a case of one site pulling it and no-one else editing it? I mean if I’m going to get it, I might as well get unedited in the form the creators intended, right?

I don’t understand. To me a game is only more interesting on steam over other digital methods because of inherent patching for multiplayer games. (i love company of heroes but patching it is bullshit) and that the match making may potentially be better.

Other than those 2 factors and the steam sales i’d never choose steam over impulse, gog or even the newly app free gamers gate. As games from all 3 services work without bloatware that steam becomes when you keep a large number of titles ready to play.

But if its a multiplayer game? Steam away! I cannot be bothered restarting a game 6 times to patch it properly with 3gb of content after a fresh retail install. But i guess impulse has the patching covered in a less automated fashion.
