Well I just played the demo and thought it was pretty interesting and challenging. I'm not an expert on RTS games but I liked what they did with a minimum of resource demand and I'm sure a small budget.

I quite enjoyed the "retro" feel and style of the art directions and gameplay.

For $10 bucks it's a lot of enjoyment and being different from the "norm" is a plus in my book...well worth the money if you ask me.

I think I'll be picking up the unlock code as I'm interested in seeing the rest of the game ;)

Regards,

I don't like this game, but I want everybody that like that game to jump here and make a defense of it. Why was not a bad game for some people? maybe the game is misunderstod?

Wow, "None of it matters. The game's no good." made even I feel a huge pang of guilt, and I have nothing to do with the game or the review! Having said that, I think it says something good about you as a professional to be able to give that game a score so low Kieron, even if I thought it deserved a 6/10 (personally I'd have given it 8/10, but I'm biased towards that sort of thing).

I feel that my title prefix-project:project-suffix is still on schedual to be released in 2020. And will feature a modern setting, it being 2020 a modern setting will probably involve space orks and gauss rifles.

Oh yeah, and can I just say that the 'colours' system is puerile and adds nothing to the game. SpaceForce: Boring Universe used the same system for ship battles which struck me then as NOT MAKING ONE JOT OF SENSE.

He's firm but fair, is our Keiron; you don't get a kicking from his Review Hobnails unless you deserve one. I agree with him on many of the points raised (albeit from my experiences with the demo). Slow, fiddly controls. Tedious cut-scenes. Boring battles - I've seen chess pieces look more dynamic fighting each other (I think you'll find that's called Archon - Ed). I did rather wonder what all the hype was about.

I don't like this game. I was feeling like I was the only guy on the world that don't like this game.

Heres why I don't like the game:
- I don't buy the "shield" system where you have to change "lazers colors" to fit some randomnian absortion thingie. It feels too random to me. Almost like something artificial and "Mars Attack!!"-ish.
- The 3D world feel somewhat old. Canyons to limite where our units can go and add strategy to a game is what the first 3D games tried, but after that 3D was used for more. (note: I only played the first levels ).

I did not like this game so much either, I didn't even get through the demo. For me, it was just a matter of not having any fun playing the game. To me there is no choice between this and Dawn of War 2, and no, it isn't just because it has some fancy company behind it (well, maybe indirectly). Dawn of War 2 has a sense of frenzied action while maintaining the gamers ability to make tactical decisions. In PA I just kinda felt like there was no point in tactics because the enemies were coming at me Smash TV style, every possible angle had enemies coming from it and having to constantly switch the colors of my weapons was annoying rather than excitingly tactical.

What's next Kieron? saying Deus Ex is overrated? claiming PC gaming is dead? buying a cat?

Too bad about the game, god knows we need more tactical small squad games.
