The game itself is excellent, but the voiceover guy described his own performance with that Oscar-winning line in the first mission: “Guys, this is bad!” (It doesn’t read too terribly, it’s the delivery.)
I feel kind of bad making fun of him. I mean, I can’t speak Russian at all while this guy can speak English, but then, I’m not doing voiceovers for games either.

Yeah, the D2D version says it doesn’t support XP or Vista x64 in the small print below the required/recommended specs.

I know the demo works fine on XPx64, and the boxed version’s supposed to be fine too, so it’s presumably not the game’s fault.

I must say I enjoy the ham-fisted, eastern European deadbeat voice acting as a welcome respite from the generic, overwrought hollywoodesqe MMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEGAKILLLLL style. Judging by some of my eastern european acquaintances, I can even imagine that it’s pretty authentic…

Yeah, here’s the line I overlooked from the D2D site:

“This product does not support Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT or XP x64/Vista x64.”

The game sounds great so I’ll give the steam version a try. This might be my last D2D purchase if it works!

I can’t believe this game doesn’t support 64 bit operating systems – I’ve never seen a game that actually refused to run. Has anyone else tried to get this to run on Vista 64? I’ve got a decent system so it’s been ages since I had to read the system requirements. Buyer beware, I guess.
