Yeah, I have to say, it just got old for me. No variety, no strategy, it's like a throwback to the mid 90s, bland, generic enemies, and it even finishes with a shitty boss. I enjoyed it, and got sick of it. L4D is a cinematic product, Killing Floor... it's just a zombie mod. Feels like one, plays like one, and doesn't have anything all that unique about it.

Well, looks like this game is already growing. Some maps from the mod version are already being cross-ported, and people have found out how to raise the maximum player-count beyond the usual 6.

For those of you with a monster-huge server and bandwidth to spare, try hosting a 16+ player game. You'll be drowning in zombies in no time.

Urgh. Money wasted. If I could get a refund, I would do it without one iota of hesitation and be very happy.

I have to say Killing Floor was somewhat of a disappointment to me. I can partly see why people seem to like it so much. Guns feel like they pack a punch, visceral, gore-fest. But when it comes down to it. The ZED time gets a tad gimmicky, the frequently repeated dialogue (we're talking over 10 times a minute if a group are welding a door) starts to grate. Not only that but it just feels like a mod, and not in a good way. Not my cup of tea but it's only my opinion. I'll stick to Left 4 Dead methinks.

KF is amazingly fun, and if mixed with the right amount of alcohol becomes incredibly hilarious (think exploding fat men flying through the air funny). Tripwire knows how to make killing things fun (I personally recommend a shotgun/fireaxe combo). Very much worth the 20 dollars. They do need to spice up the trader dialog. I personally have no issue with the trader menu, it works fine and is very functional, not everything needs to be like tf2....

It's far more visceral than Left4Dead and gives you far less margin for error. The variety of zombies is much better, the weapons give a far more satisfying boom and the game is hard as hell. Definitely worth the price of admission and as opposed to Demigod, the connection as server issues were sorted out in 12 hours flat. Very impressive, it runs pretty much perfectly now.

The L4D SDK is in beta right now. If you sign up to the Steam beta program you can probably get access to it.

Isn't it considered copyright infringement or some kind of infringement when you take known music from an already established series and put it in your game and sell that game to make money?
