I'm guessing sales will show they are wrong and the price will drop like a stone. Pick it up at under $20 I think.

Loved the demo, but find it very odd this is selling for only $20 on the PS3, but $30 on Steam. And the developer's justification ("[Pricing] guidelines are set by our publisher. Trine is far from a game created by a solo hero developer (we have over 20 employees and Trine has contributions from a double amount of people)" and "we are very confident that we can deliver a full retail experience with Trine (hence PC version is sold in retail also for approx 35 to 40 eur/usd!)") seems pretty weak. Also seems at odds with their statement that "However, if players, sales and press show we are wrong we will definitely check the pricing".

It's a very pretty, reasonably clever and unique little platformer. Still, though, $40? Seriously? Especially considering the inclusion of a multiplayer mode I'll never get to use, I just can't see that. I'll pick it up at a discount somewhere down the road.

Finished up playing the demo and was on my way here to say "Sold"! Then I realised it was £25. Phyiscs or no, a platformer is a plaformer and I'm not willing to throw down that kind of money on a genre that I finished with 15 years ago.

Er, in case that isn't clear: I am not asking for quicksave, just that I can continue from a checkpoint after quitting the game.

Great, great demo - would be a definite buy, if it wasn't for the lack of mid-level saving. As it is, I might, but the idea that I will have to replay a level from the beginning if I decide to quit the game is pretty much a dealbreaker.

@The Hammer
You can get somewhere around 75 or so green vials in one play-through, just depends on how many skeletons you kill as they randomly drop them in addition to the ones you find scattered about.
