I picked this up on QT3. It’s someone trying to do a Han Solo adventure game in the style of SCUMM adventure games. It is, of course, totally doomed. But still – the tiny bit of teaser footage is amazingly evocative, and a great way to start the week. Unless you saw it over the weekend, in which case it’s very tiresome. Get off the internet at the weekend and make out with people, that’s what I say.

If they distribute it for free will Lucas still come down on them hard? I was under the impression that they encouraged fan experimentation with Star Wars as long as it’s not for profit?

I would pay for this if Lucas Arts decided to take the team on-board and released it for a couple of pounds.

Frankly, the dialogue was better than the “we have more voice over than any game ever therefore our game = immersion” PR pap The Old Republic has had to show for itself…
However, I’m dissapointed by the title which led me to believe this was a new Hal Barwood desktop adventure.

For the record, this segment is for the Star Wars Uncut project, which is why it uses the soundtrack from the film etc.

I’ve had a Fate of Atlantis poster on my wall for years and never once realized that a Han Solo adventure in the same vein would be such an epicly good idea until this morning.

Lucasarts won’t necessarily come down on this at all. They’ve not done anything to stop Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth, after all. But like IJatFoY, this is probably far too big a project to ever see completion with part-time production.

They will force them to remodel the Puzzle so Han shoots second, and replace the Lasers with Flashlights.

It’s a good idea for a game but won’t he run out of han solo dialogue at some point? Find a sound a like, then keep going. It’s a cool project.

“Sundays are for doing a lot of work, avoiding that lot of work with games of Champions, etc.”
So Saturday is make out day, then? That explains so much!
