In daylight, the flickering of the graphics is insufferable. From the screenshots, I had been imagining a slow-moving misty/painterly effect, but instead it hammers at my retinas like an evil woodpecker of pure energy.

Once the scene shifts to the night side, it’s entirely bearable (and indeed pretty).

It still intrigues me, but not to the point that I expect this to be a must-buy for me. Maybe it’s one of the type of games which are more entertaining to watch footage of than to play. Of course, it’s far too early to tell.

Poking around on the menu system a bit, the account creation seems to have something interesting. When you create your account, there is a spot for a “friend name”. Mousing over the entry field, the tooltip basically says you can make an account for a friend to play for free, but they can only play while you are playing.

Also, it appears that you may be paying hourly, instead of monthly. According to the account creation menu, changing servers will cost 24h, and getting referrals will net you 24h.

Runs perfectly smoothly on my notebook, so huzzahs are indeed in order. And who ordered the purdy?

Eating about 15% of my CPU and around 111mb, which seems pretty good.
