Maybe it's just me, but I don't really think saying "bitch" after every 4 words implies being either capable *or* psychotic. If they'd portrayed her as capable and/or psychotic, then yes, I agree she'd be a good fit.

But to be honest, I think a capable agent would be the one who shoots you in the head. The one who stops to say 'bitch' instead is the incompetent one.

As one of the devs pointed out, she's written by a guy that wrote character's on the other end of the like-a-bility spectrum. She's available for the kind of .... people... who enjoy those sorts of expressions and characters, while letting those who find her grating either ignore her or just let her be one of the first to go in the upcoming suicide runs.

Well... if you think about Mass Effect as mostly being assembling a posse of hard-ass mercs and killers across the galaxy to deal with some unknown menace that is making entire colonies dissapear, I guess you'd go after the most dangerously psychotic and capable agents out there. The more I think Mass Effect 2 will turn out to be some sort of Suicide Squad in space the more I like the concept of Subject Zero as a character.

It's characters like these that make RPG-lite decisions worthless. Not because she's a bad character--she may be hard to stomach and poorly thought out, but that's a character all in itself. No, it's worthless to make team or team-building decisions because those characters thrown aside lose all purpose.

So, I vote that those of us players who decide not to use this steaming pile of bitch, get the opportunity to slaughter her.

The same should go for all other characters. In an RPG-lite, most people probably only use a handful of their teammates anyway. How about instead of building a big, pointless roster, have anyone we don't recruit act as an antagonist. I cede this idea to Bioware for their future games, because they'll need it.

Tank Girl in the future or what? You know ... every time I see triple-A developers producing such stereotype-shite (and they do that 99.9% of all the times) I look gladly at myself as an indie dev with my own IP and a collection of original characters that make such characters like the above look like b-movie stars.

"Of course, if it wasn’t Bioware we wouldn’t be nit-picking these trailers so much."
No, we wouldn't - we would write it off as some eastern european publishers usual creepy trailer.

There is nothing good about this trailer - the writing is undeniably garbage, the delivery and voice acting is terrible and it doesn't even LOOK good, both graphically and gameplay wise.

It's a fail-trailer throughout.

Got some issues with aggressive female characters, Alec? :)

I've gotta say I was expecting something more outrageous based on your reaction to it. That video could have been better, but it wasn't as bad as you made me expect it to be. :)

Poor Bioware. They're trying so hard to be adult with their trailers these days, but they come off a bit like a twelve-year-old girl trying to act all grown up. She can mimic all she wants, but it's still just an act.
