No, it sort of means nothing at all. Did those gamers play the original game at all? I assume they most likely did. Are there any huge difference in gameplay? Heck no… it’s the same old same old. Some might argue that’s a good thing, other will argue it’s not.

Does such a trip influence their objectivity, well yes… obviously it does, regardless of whether L4D2 is any good.

In fact, I would probably agree that it’s good (haven’t played it yet though), but the real question should be, is it BETTER than the Left 4 Dead 1 and offering more to us gamers than the original.

From what has been made public so far, it only barely does.. which is obviously a shame.

I probably should emphasize that I am not anti-Valve nor anti-Steam in general at all, but I definitely think Valve has been slacking lately. They are basically making money off projects that shouldn’t really be all that successful at all looking at the pure gameplay aspects. ;)

( I am not judging the fun factor here, as I will gladly admit L4D 1 is fun to play.. although very repetitive.)

..and alas there is proof the publicity spin is working. I am not blaming new adopters for being interested in L4D2, but the L4D 1 crowd certainly should boycott that game.

I was dead serious. Valve doesn’t care about their users… look at the huge amount of players who still boycott Left 4 Dead 2. Sure, a ‘couple’ of them might have been ‘convinced’ or brainwashed by Valve’s invitation, but really I am dead serious…. this sounds like a cheap publicity trick.

I agree that it’s stupid for any company not to publicize these kinds of events, but really… don’t any of you think a few more steps into the future? It was freaking inevitable.

In other news, the whole thing gave a neat spin to the negative publicity, which has been my point all along.

If Valve would really care about it’s gamers, it would give Left 4 Dead 1 users a 50% discount on Left 4 Dead 2 and a public apology for milking their new franchise.

Also, I am perfectly fine with being boycotted… not sure what it means as a person, but my comments are only meant to make people think a bit more, instead of run in the direction the masses go.

Ah, this must be why they banned it — the censored version has ’strong bloody violence’. Obviously the uncensored one would have been ‘fucking strong violence’ or the like, and the OFLC just wanted to censor their own potty mouths.
