Yeah Dave, didn’t mean to trash your thread. I’m sure the RPS corp is awesome and full of nice guys and maybe after a couple of years in the game it’s the place for me to be. I will check it out.

I think Eve has just frustrated me immensely over the years because it is a game that is almost entirely dependent on who you play with, but has no real way of helping you find a decent bunch of guys except by chance (I hear CCP are trying to improve this in Dominion with a fleet finder LFG thingie). In my case I got to 24m SP by never cancelling my subs, but just not playing while the training rolled on and on (thank god for evemon), because I was forever hacked off with the dickheads I found around me.

So go RPS corp! I’m rooting for ya and all the new players who you give a home to in the game and prevent them from having an Eve experience like mine.

Lucifer stop being so maudlin and come join us! Claiming how bad Eve is over and over on the RPSH Community corp plug is not doing us any favours…

We offer a massive support structure, regular OP’s and considering most of our guys are sub 5mil sp’s our OP’s are never (and never will be) your typical “Sniping HAC’s only” jobbie. The only requirement in that respect is that EVERYBODY fights! So quite the opposite of “you cant fight unless your in a DD tanked sniper HAC”

Corp WH OP’s mostly run in class 1-3′s with at least 4-5 players at any one time looking for some warm holes to probe so whether you have 2mil or 24mil SP’s thers always a job to do and a fat chunk of ISK at the end. (or a fire)

We have even convinced a load of jaded vets to not only actully play again but to find the sort of enthusiasm you find at the start of the game rather than years into it. Myself included

Please, if you hate it this much then how did you get to 24mil SP’s? If your just having a bad time of it get to Vaajaita and drop an App in. Same goes for anyone else with terribad experiences of Eve. Corp chat is a laugh. Vent chat is even better. There are no Dicks! (Well maybe me but nobody takes me seriously :’( ), (in the pejorative sense) free ships, awesome advice, constant OP’s, access to every aspect of Eve, free chocolate, a beer and a lady (or man) of questionable repute to all new recruits and a hat. A big shiny hat with tassles and everything.

In the end it’s always the same – you play for a couple of weeks all keen and eager. Then you end up feeling like you don’t have enough sp to mine, mission, WH, pvp or whatever so you just log in to change skills and that’s how it goes for 6 months. Never have I played an MMO that was so hard to find consistent fun inside.

Been playing Eve for almost 3 years myself and been in quite a few corps, but I still can’t come to love the game due to the extremely high population of dicks (see my earlier post). Nothing kills a game faster than someone telling you not to bring on an op, even though you’ve spent months learning to fly it well, because they want something harder, better, faster, stronger and, surprise surprise you can’t fly one of those for another 3 months. I would dearly love to find a corp that appreciated the 24m sp I do have, rather than making me feel like whatever I learn to fly was a waste of my time.

Been looking for an excuse to return to EVE for a while, so I'll check out the corp once I get my account reactivated. I haven't played for a few years but I have a 9mil SP or so character sitting around in Caldari space.

@Dan: I think the game is only £8.99 on steam, and you get your first month free, so the first month is actually cheaper than subsequent months. Like Dave says, if you buy your time cards in dollars thereafter it works out at about £10 a month (at current exchange rates of course)

Yes there are many people in eve who will call you fail in eve, but most of them are just internet tough guys who get a power trip from abusing people over the internet.

That said one of the first tests that eve throws at you is how thick your skin is, quickly followed by how you deal with loss.

If you can cope with people saying things to you and you can get back up and start again after losing most of what you own then eve is the best game there is.
