Liked the demo, picked up the full version. It’s provided several hours of entertainment thus far, and still holding my interest. Whereas Space Rangers 2… ugh. Despised the game. Different strokes…

Ohhh, turn-based. Since I’ve gotten bored from playing Armageddon Empires, I’m always on the lookout for new turn-based goodness. And I don’t want to wait until Solum Infernum (or whatever his next game is called).

Space rangers 2 zooms out when you are in a larger ship i think. Or at least it seems to. When you go from the end of a campaign to the start of a new game you realise how tiny you look.
The sprite of your ship is bigger the larger your hold space, for fighting the enemy systems your are generally best served by a medium light ship but traders need more space, thus the freighters are the biggest ships.

Yeah, you can own battleships (IIRC), they just don’t look any bigger on screen than any other ship.

Incidentally, Space Rangers 2 pisses all over Smugglers 3 in every conceivable way. :)

Space Rangers 2 is awesome, but no ability to own Battleships either :P ( I think, I've never seen a REAL battleship at least even the AI's battleships still look small )

I wish X3 worked on my computer as I love the "idea" of but I just can't play it more than 30 minutes without it crashing all over the place and making my wife sick.
