Finally got to play this and I was a little disappointed. It works as a proof of concept and has a great tone, but the execution needs a lot of work before it's worth a retail release. The dinosaurs look surprisingly good though, which is the cornerstone for something like this.

Blast from the past! I used to love that. Espescially the bit where you went down through the rock layers in a lift to find fossils. Alas when I studied some paleoecology at uni it was never that exciting :(

Played it. The environment, sound effects and dino designs are ace. The combat itself is worth a "B". The game is very short, but of course this is just a demo basically. A very interesting concept and universe with a fun execution. It's definitely worth a playthrough for everyone.

I'm a huge fan of the Brontosaurus for having the shear gall to not exist.

Plus of course the Styracosaurus, which is like a Triceratops but instead of having three spikes, it is ALL spikes.

Well you can tell it's not a finished game but I had fun. My biggest problems were probably how blocky the dinosaurs movement looked, and the fact that ammo and medpacks ae placed randomly across the levels instead of in places where they, you know, make sense.

Pretty fun though, can't wait for the real thing. :D

That's not a dinosaur, though. But as someone who like pterosaurs best I don't really have room to talk.

Played it through the end and it was pretty cool.

My favorite dinosaur is Deinonychus. I remember in 1994 when my family got our first computer we got some cds along and one of those were Microsoft Dinosaurs and as a wee boy it was great. Deinonychus looks like Velociraptors, but cooler :D. I also remember there being a very pixelated T-Rex movie on there which was amazing at the time.

I've played it, and although it isn't perfect its not bad for a concept. The ending is a little glitchy and confusing and the mapping could be better, but for a first try not bad sez I!

Just played with it for an hour, and so far.. hmm...
Well, I've only seen 1 dino so far (a Triceratops, thank god it's the 1 I can actually name!)
& while it looks pretty good, it does "skate" a bit which really kills the illusion.

Also killing the mood for me a bit was a few "standard" SFX that they hadn't replaced from HL2.
eg sparks of electricity, health pickups, etc.

On the positive side, the music is great and I really want to see what else is coming up...
unfortunately, 'hard' difficulty actually IS quite hard, and I'm stuck very early in the game.

Finally - I'm surprised no-one has mentioned that Half Life (1) mod that had dinosaurs in it!
(Of course I can't remember the name) I think it had weapons that came in parts & could be combined.
I do remember that it ended with a HUGE t-rex head crashing through a roof
- chomping & trying to get you. Anybody recall it?
I received the mod via a magazine coverdisk....
