RPS despise Children. Yet – as aficionados of PC games with terrain – we love boredom. So we’re a little conflicted on whether or not to link to the third yearly Desert Bus for Hope, which has been bumping along for over three days now. As with every year, the idea is endurance playing of one of the most famously tedious games of all time. The first year made nearly $23K. The second just over $70K. This year is at $50K already, and lets hope it, because it’s for a good cause. As in, feeding everyone involved’s meth habit. Er… I mean, the splendid Child’s Play charity. Toddle along and show your support, you good people. Lawful Neutral people may wish to do likewise.

I wouldn’t play desert bus even if I had just killed all the children and it was the only way to not get toasted on a chair.

I read this as catholic neutral for some reason…
I don’t even know how that works.
Religion and alignment, together at last?

Last year’s marathon made just over 70k, not 60. Also, it’s great fun to watch and a great cause to to donate to!

As a full-time bus-driver (who occasionally has the privilege of carting John Walker and his magnificent beard from his house to the sandvich shop) all I can say is AAARGH

This happens a lot:
“hello drive, single to Chippenham please.”
“AAARGH!”
“…will £5 cover it?”

I am very unimpressed. I assumed it was a gaming marathon. As in, a bunch of people playing non-stop. Instead, it’s a bunch of people taking turns. Christ, I could play for weeks at a time if I could had it off to other people and only had to play one or two hours every half day.
