Is it wrong that I was drawn to this game purely on the basis of the studio that made it being called “Pigdog Games”? Perhaps, but right now it seems as good a reason as any other to post with wild abandon, and so I link to the one-hour time limited demo. The game is a 2D top down real-time strategy, like those strategies of yesteryear mixed with tower defence. It’s profoundly simplistic, but it might just pass the time if you’re looking for some old fashioned click ‘n’ build distraction. Trailer below.

I saw the screenshot and my first thought was you’re doing a Settlers II retrospective…

I was hoping for a settlers 2 free-to-play-flash-game-conversion myself.

it reminded me of that too. I used to be totally anal about paths in The Settlers, that above screenshot just makes be want to build some extra paths.

Looks like Harvest:Massive Encounter clone, except less classy.

More time in that trailer is spent on title screens then actually *showing* the game.

This looks a lot like a medieval version of NetStorm! Brilliant!

Woah… the dude on the download page gave me a major flashback to Age of Empires 2.

The interface reminds me of that game. Gather villagers, gold, stone and wood.

I downloaded the free trial version. It took me about 15 minutes to get it running, then it told me my trial time had expired. So I have no idea if this game is worth paying for. The demo version didn’t even work.

Is it only me, or does that game looks like Wesmoth, an open source strategy game?

Hans Zimmer called, he wants his music back.

While it looks interesting, I think I’d rather play Plants vs. Zombies.

I miss Net Storm :(
