Well, this comments thread has definitely reinforced my image of PC gamers (I consider myself a gamer who just happened to start out on the PC) being overly defensive and quick to anger.

I mean, cmon – it’s not that hard to get the game running. Next you’ll be telling me you couldn’t beat the first level of Steamshovel Harry.

I thought it was funny and quite true. Games make you install so much crap and mess with so many settings it’s not even funny. But then again, modern video games are computational miracles.

I’m not getting the backlash. If you actually went through all that crap, maybe you’re just pissed at going along with it.

Ah okay. Sorry for the misunderstanding, as they were added after this whole thing went wrong. I should have thought better of you guys :)

Also sorry for my mildly aggressive undertone, but I felt like I was taken advantage of and I do not appreciate that feeling when I’m putting my trust in an otherwise great website.

Sorry, but due a stubborn bug we were unable to fix during the game jam, this game only runs if you add Spanish (from Spain : “es-es”) as an accepted language in Firefox.

The fact he didn’t even bother proofreading this thing shows how much thought went into the whole thing.

Apologies if this has already been posted but it is possible to “cheat” at this game.

Select all and right click to “view selection source” before it determines you do or do not have something it requires you to have or not to have (I’m confusing myself now)

You can then see the html extension for the next level for example:

Again with the hate thing! Cripes, if you didn’t get the joke by the time it asked you to change your language to Spanish there really is no hope for you. (I already had silverlight on this machine, although it’s the only one in the house)
