Yes, honour. We will rebrand the games industry with our Old World spellings! Anyway, EA’s cavernous developmental innards have spawned a trailer for Medal Of Honour. It’s one of those trailers were a dude talks huskily about war and how badass his shooty comrades are, while dudes get shot and stuff explodes on screen. There’s talk about sledgehammers and scalpels, but it seems more like you’re going to be using rifles and air-strikes.

Family Chat: 2k Czech’s Alex Cox On Mafia 2
By Alec Meer on March 12th, 2010.

Last week, I finally got to spend a little quality time with the rarely-seen, much-delayed Mafia 2. While I was there, I made Alex Cox, one of the game’s producers, an offer he couldn’t refuse. He refused it anyway. So I decided to ask him about the game instead. Read on for the chatty chap’s thoughts on the game’s excellent music, open world versus linear and whether ‘dickcheese’ is an authentic 1950s swear word or not.

I Spy A Brink Trailer
By Jim Rossignol on March 12th, 2010.

The new cinematic trailer for Brink (via VG247) is pretty damned good. Lots of running and jumping and sliding all tries to get across the movement system that is one of the game’s core features. The character and environmental design is absolutely fantastic, too, as it should be given the studio’s astonishing pedigree. Quake Wars might not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but they’ve pretty much put together a supergroup to make Brink, and I think it’s going to pay off. (Although, is it just me, or is that the TF2 spy at the end there?)

IGF Winners! Monaco’s Gamble Pays Off
By Kieron Gillen on March 12th, 2010.

And the IGF winners have been announced and Monaco is the belle of this particular gaming ball, picking up two awards, including the Grand Prize. The incredibly atmospheric Limbo also picked up two awards, for Visual lookitude and technical prettiosity. The Grand Prize winner takes home $20,000 (Count ‘em) dollars, with all of the other categories bringing home $2,500. Except for the D2D one, which is 10K. A run down of all the winners follows. Well done all. And lend us a fiver.

GDC CryEngine 3 Demo
By Jim Rossignol on March 12th, 2010.

If the internet is a space marine, then GameTrailers is surely his large, red bionic eye, which sees all, and gives a +1 bonus to hit. This week the bionic eye has seen things at GDC, including a bunch of CryEngine 3 footage, some of which could be indicative of what to expect from Crysis 2. It’s filmed off a screen, but worth taking a look at: especially the bit where a dude shoots stuff with a gun. I like that bit best of all.

Pride And Falls: Neptune’s Pride Diary Part 3
By RPS on March 12th, 2010.

The slow space war of Neptune’s Pride continues with one more player knocked from his seat in the heavens. Who will it be? And can the others agree on a permanent alliance to win the game? (PC Gamer are also running this diary over here.)

Renaissance Man: GDC Deus Ex 3 trailer
By Quintin Smith on March 12th, 2010.

Looks like somebody left the keys in the ignition! And just as well, because even while none of the RPS crew are around you guys still need to know about the new Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution trailer that’s being shown at GDC. The 2 minute cinematic can be found after the jump, but be warned: There’s still no footage of the game proper just yet.
Sam & Max To Enter The Devil’s Playhouse
By John Walker on March 12th, 2010.

Telltale has announced a third season of their popular Sam & Max episodic adventures. It’s called The Devil’s Playhouse, and from the trailer (below) appears to imbue the dog and rabbit heroes with psychic powers. Once again there’s to be five monthly episodes, the first due to appear on the 15th April.
I Want To Live Forever: ImmorTall
By John Walker on March 12th, 2010.

Thanks to both Delirium and Andrew for tipping us off to ImmorTall by Evan Miller, a short, sad Flash game in which you (barely) control an invincible alien blob amidst one of humanity’s less impressive moments. There’s really not much more that can be said about this game in particular, since it’s barely two minutes long, and about experiencing it for yourself. Other than the really smart use of music. Discordant notes create all the sounds necessary in a simple and affecting way. You can play it here. It’s rather good.
FYI: GameCamp 2 Tickets At Noon
By Kieron Gillen on March 12th, 2010.

Do you remember last year when I went to the Gamecamp “unconference”. Go read about it. It was a lot of fun. They’re doing another one this year on May 8th at Whittaker House (Ebay/PayPal/Gumtree.com’s headquarters) in Richmond, London, and the first bunch of (free) tickets for the event go live at Midday today. As in, noon. They’ll disappear pretty quickly, so consider this your advance warning. You’ll be able to get them from here.
Fable III To Reach PC?
By John Walker on March 12th, 2010.

Rumours are afoot that Fable III may be making its way to the PC. During Lionhead head Peter Molyneux’s GDC chat with Gamespot yesterday, he referred to “platforms” for the new game in the plural, and that doesn’t really leave a lot of options. The Microsoft-owned developer is not particularly likely to aid their competition with a PS3 or Wii version (although you’d have to think a Wii port of the Fable series would be a 400ft golden egg-laying goose made of diamonds), which leaves the PC as the only viable Microsoft-supported place for the game to be. The original Fable made it to the PC after a lengthy delay, although Fable II stayed exclusively on the wheezing white crate. You can see him drop the hint on the video we’ve tucked in below. And even more clues too.
