If you’re going to critique the video critique it on its own terms (ie. movement and representation) don’t just try to look cool in front of your internet friends for knowing the game better than most.

I’m more annoyed by the people who are annoyed at the comments pointing out the inaccuracies. Yeah, it’s skillful and interesting. Yeah, it’s inaccurate and thus irritating. Can it not be both?

It’s no good. I just can’t channel that much crazy nerd rage, even in jest, without causing a cerebral explosion.

I think this animation was a direct recreation of my last online Starcraft match.

I dunno, given that Starcraft is a game about fighting a war between three different factions aren’t guns pretty fundamental to the game? It’s not as if the guns are only available through optional DLC.

This is my take on it too. It’s a weird attitude that’s on here – you’re being a ridiculous pedant to point out flaws in something that took a lot of work to do. There’s a flaw in it, if it’s so amazing because of the work that’s gone into it pointing out a small flaw shouldn’t ruin it for you.

The other thing is if you didn’t put the work in you don’t get to tell other people to stop complaining because it took a lot of work.

You know the saying where “if you want something done you should give it to the busiest person you know” ? The point there is that busy people tend to be busy and that’s why they get things done. The same thing works with people who pay attention to detail – people who pay attention to details tend to pay attention to details the rest of the time too. You don’t suddenly stop paying attention to the source material and go “oh, well, I’ll just make that bit up.”
