Friend of RPS Siri mentioned Ka-bloom to me, which reminded me I previously wanted to check it out. And it is a nifty, beautifully presented puzzle-game with the standard flashgame Role-playing game elements. In short, create chains of crystals and feed them to your flower-thingy. All those are technical terms. Made by Strongman games who, if memory serves, were the pair who cornered me at World of Love and ranted so much Terry VVVVVV Cavanagh went away and hid. And then bemused Jim on the way out by swearing at him repeatedly for being Jim Rossignol. Ah, if only journos could hold grudges. Go play here or watch the trailer below…

Right.

Keep up the good work.

I like the music.

How could you swear at Jim? Jim’s lovely.

Meh, not bad.

I really have no idea what is going on. MUST CONSUME MORE

Saw the headline and thought it was about this Kabloom:

…which is also worth checking out. This looks neat too, though.

I must be a dimwit, I played through the entire tutorial and still didn’t grasp what I was really supposed to be doing. Pretty though.
report
Same here, sort of. I also played through the first world…. never really understood how it was possible not to win. Just keep drawing the chains and eating the nearest one…
report
It does get more complex as you keep on playing. Also im not sure simply winning is entirely the point, its also about trying to maximise your score. However I do agree its wasn’t entirely clear what you need to do to start off with.
report
The word “tutorial” is a bit of a misnomer here.

Found this rather boring, TBH.
report
Is it me, or does everyone get a rank 100 hi-score just for playing?
Honestly, I have no idea how to maximize my score. I just link to the pretty colored gems instead of the boring gray ones as often as possible. Do different color gems have different point values or effects?

Is that an eating mandible, or are you pleased to see me?
