This week the RPS Game Club will be celebrating our love of men with guns in a Men & Guns Manshoot Weekend Special. We’ve got two servers that are intended solely for the purpose of shooting men. They are:
The Team Fortress 2 Server: 85.236.100.107:27315
The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Server: 85.236.101.38:21467, actually you have to just search for this in the browser list, it’s called Rock, Paper, Shotgun of course. Search for Rock, to find it. It’s case sensitive, for some reason. Sigh.
Both provided by Multiplay! We will do war on those servers this coming Saturday and Sunday night (20th, 21st) from 7pm UK time. Choose your game, and JOIN US! (I’ll add some events on the Steam group as a reminder.)
What happens if I go pyro and reflect the manshoots?

This must be such a stupid question, because no one, ever, in the history of time, has bothered explaining it, even on PCGs 4-steps guide to joining their servers that covers the obvious but ignores this: how do I actually connect to an IP address on BC2?

I believe you can use the searchy in BC2′s server browser to find it. Don’t know if it works on IPs, but you can definitely type in RPS or Rock Paper Shotgun and it should find it, depending on what the server’s actually called.

Yeah thats what I was going to rely on. Just confused by the addition of the IP address, as if it was in any way helpful.

Looking forward to this. Be sure to post announcements to the Steam group when things are kicking off, that’s helped before to get TF2 games going.
Although then again, considering the group is so huge and there’s only so many server slots, maybe that’s not such a great idea after all.

If you are going to come on the Tf2 server and you don’t have them already, you might want to get cashworks, frontier and, of course, REDFORT!

Redfort has been on the server for as long as I can remember. Think I’ve seen it on cashworks too, but can’t be sure.

Mashakosha: you mistake dartt’s point. These maps are on the server. If you, the player, download them ahead of time on your PC, you will get connected and in game much quicker.

Why do all the fun RPS things happen the exact moment I have a hot date planned? On the other hand, if she’s into the manshoots, this could be the awesomest date ever. It could be bacon, eggs and stickybombs for breakfast.
If it doesn’t go well, I’ll take out all my angry frustration on you folks. Even the napalm will not burn as hot as the burn of my rejection!

But I’ll be there blasting men in the face with my trusty PP gun on BC. I may even lay a few sneaky mines… level 45 and not a single kill with stupid things :(
Edit – I have committed suicide with them though, when stupid mans shoot me when I lay them. Unfortunately, it doen’t count as kills…

As an American, I’ll be up for manshoots around 9pm Eastern time, and I urge other American RPS readers to show up around that time as well.

As an Australian in Boston, I’ll be up for manshoots whenever there are mans to shoot. I also have chest hair in the shape of Australia, and I get in fights with tigers.

TF2 Soldier vs BC2 soldier. Who would win?

Depends on the classes of the two games. Medic from BC2 would beat medic from TF2 unless he’s got an ubercharge. Heavy would kill everything in his way. Sniper from TF2 would dominate and outsnipe the recon guy by a lot. Soldier would kill the engineer because his rocket launchers have 4 rockets in the barrel at once which would overkill any vehicle. Oh and rocket jump.
