In case you were wondering how to identify a slow news day in the world of PC gaming, it’s when you find me posting about a strategy game demo. Armoured And Dangerous is such a thing. It’s a game. It’s a strategy game. I don’t want to understand it. There’s a video of it below. It looks a bit dodge. But it’s super-cheap, and it does have tanks in it.
It’s possibly the boldest use of “picturesque” I’ve ever seen. Also, the last minute is a little disappointing.
I’m not sure that territory is worth fighting for.

I see what they did there, and I raise you an eyebrow.

But a tank RPG with differing class roles and special abilities would probably be quite nice. Albeit stupid, but there’s a lot of treadheads out there. Treadheads who love themselves some picturesque battlefields.

World of Tanks looks good but has a gameplay that is disappointing if you love armoured warfare.

My thoughts exactly…I mean: seriously? GUYS? This is beyond fail…they are either computer games “history” illiterate or somewhat stupid…OR BOTH.

Indeed.
I remember being annoyed when Lionhead released Fable, forgetting that a game with the same name was released in 1996.

“Armed and Dangerous” is a pretty old trope. Usually used as part of a police report. “Suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.”

Not the most realistic tank movement I’ve ever seen..Think I’ll stick with Men of War for now.

I hope that gigantic popup indicator UI style doesn’t catch on. The attack selection icons (I think, anyway) were so big they were almost always partially obscured by picturesque scenery. For a bit there, the player appears to be trying to select a coffee mug with little success.
