Things that are good + LEGO = Happiness. It’s a sum we were all taught in school, and it’s as true today as it ever was. So when a clever person, Catsy [CSF], builds a customised GLaDOS and Chell out of LEGO, I’m so sold. Have a look at a couple of the splendid results below.
Here’s the lady herself:

And here’s Chell.

To see the rest of them, and in full size, head on over to Catsy’s Flickr page. Thanks to Leigh and Superpunch.

Let down by blocks using the same texture for all sides, so pegs all the way. But almost there…

Portal 2 is the new Minecraft. John will paint a companion cube over that fridge he painted into a grass block that used to have a companion cube painted on it.

Thanks for the blog and link!
For what it’s worth, the Chell minifig isn’t intended to be completely accurate–the photo above is a work-in-progress photo of my custom ASHPD, and I threw together Chell just so that I’d have an appropriate minifig to hold the Portal Gun for taking a photo.
Once I’ve finished the ASHPD I’ll be making a better Chell fig and doing a scene with GLaDOS.

27/04/2011 at 22:38 Catsy says:
See above. The Chell is actually just a temporary fig for displaying the Portal Gun. Once I’ve finished the gun I’m going to put some time into a proper Chell custom fig.
27/04/2011 at 21:54 Wulf says:
I’ve seen some custom figures in my time and I have to say that those are simply amazing, they really are. Both GLaDOS and Chell are incredibly convincing.
Valve? You should make this happen officially. I’m tempted to mail Mr. Newell and point this out to him.
27/04/2011 at 22:04 Wulf says:
You know what this comments thread has now convinced me of as well?
We need Atlas and P-Body action figures.
