Atlus have announced that their medieval melee game, The Cursed Crusade, will be released October 11th, according to Gemetsu. We’ve already seen lots of sword action from this Templar-based manstabber, but now there’s a reveal of the more supernatural elements of the game, as you can see in the fire-and-demon packed trailer, below. There’s some kind of curse involved in this crusade, that’s for certain.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it in EMT which means this game must have some sort of cooking mini game.

As long as the cooking game contains “and bacon strips and bacon strips and bacon strips” ad infinitum.

“Trust be Esteban, we have bacon strips!”

I went to the old Templer HQ at Portugal’s Convent of Christ in Tomar a few weeks ago. If LazerQuest bought the Catholic church out they’d have a great venue right there.
Carry on.

But will it be better than The First Templar?

My money is on yes.

Atlas missed a great opportunity to revamp DBtS’s vsim controls, and frankly–Atlas being as crazy as they are–I’m surprised.

this would have been much more epic if it included bushido-blade style unforgiving combat and killing time style dismemberment.
but the story is…fiery? that’s cool

He runs quite daintily for a cursed crusader.

That’s the nature of the curse.

Wow these are really smooth animations. More developers who understand that moving and fighting animations need to be top-quality, please!

But you’ll be so disapointed by this “game” …

This trailer is way better if you imagine that the protagonist is using a bitchin slap attack at 0:34.
Also, the thing I am most looking forward to about The Curse of the Cursed Cursade is the lack of blue and green. They’re overused these days.

Ehi Atlus, can we trade this one for Dark Souls?
15/07/2011 at 03:32 Reinhardt says:
I don’t know how you guys feel, but it’s looked pretty dated in all of its previews, so I’m not sure if this change is significant enough to warrant a headline.
