Ubi’s techno-shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier had rather disappeared off the release radar, but it’s popped up again with a bright blip reading “March 2012″. Alec took a look at the game for Eurogamer early last year, so we can probably expect to have changed a bit since then. What won’t have changed is the game being all about tactical hi-tech combat with a dose of stealth. It could be refreshing, if done right.

Yeeeeaaaaah… can’t say “Ilyich” is that common (at least from my experience), and “Kerenski” is definitely not the kind of last name you’d encounter often, if it even exists IRL. Thumbs down for the developers.
And they’ve also misspelled “freedom” on the banner.
And posters advertising hockey don’t look at all realistic.

“Kerenski” surname is obviously lifted from Mechwarrior fluff and Mechwarrior creators borrowed it from the real Kerenski, the guy who was a Provisional Government chief in 1917.

Edit: on the Ghost Recon site you can see xbox, ps3 and pc game boxes in some pictures but not others. Who knows?

That video just make the game far too stupid for me to anticipate. I enjoyed the old Ghost Recon but this looks mediocre and probably another console port.

This game was seemingly announced for PC but I don’t think it is coming anymore. Ubisoft have said Xbox and PS3 only for a while now and on their forum the community managers say “this game is not announced for PC.”
I could be wrong though.

You’re right. They once mentioned there would be a PC version made by a separate team, probably with different gameplay, but now it looks like it won’t be coming at all.
I don’t care, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon are now broken beyond repair.

Found the original Ghost Recon really fun on multiplayer. The browser though, which required login, (ubi something?) reallly annoyed me.
