You might well have noticed that Craig had a look at Spec Ops for us, and wrote about it. 2K have now also released a trailer, which contains a large quotient of noise and fury, ending on what appears to be a supernatural (?) note. It’s a bit weird. Go take a look.

One of the worse trailers I have seen in a long time. It says precisely nothing.
22/11/2011 at 15:41 Manburger says:
I don’t know about that. I feel like it conveys what the game is going for thematically in a heavy-handed fashion. Though I guess you meant what the game actually plays like. That is true.
But a gameplay trailer does exsist.
Get ready to shoot some men in the face and neck!

Or in the shoulder if you are as good at these games as I am.

I think both trailers together make quite an attractive wtf game possibility.
However, if it’s not Call of Cthulhu: Black Ops I’m going to be sorely disappointed.
22/11/2011 at 15:47 Juiceman says:
Nice to know this game is still being made. Haven’t seen anything new, until today, since E3 2010 I think.

Dubai sure has a lot of enormous flatscreens.
I was more interested in this game around the time of the premiere trailer from back at the end of 2009. I wonder who thought this trailer would appeal to anyone.
22/11/2011 at 18:51 theleif says:
It made me interested in knowing more of the game, so that’s +1 for them.
22/11/2011 at 17:26 Ross Angus says:
I wonder if (for better or worse) this is what Davey Wrenden was talking about to Robert Yang: the idea of AAA titles being influenced by indie games. Sure, shoot people in the face, but what does it mean?

[ ] Interesting setting
[ ] Interesting gameplay
Tick ONE box… I love the mood the trailer is giving off but 3rd person shooters are booooring. If this was a Deus Ex style immersive sim my pre-order would be unstoppable.
22/11/2011 at 18:16 Shooop says:
No one asked for this. This trailer does a good job of explaining why.
22/11/2011 at 19:32 JakeOfRavenclaw says:
I liked the part where Commander Shepard opened an Oblivion gate. (Seriously though, what the hell was that? This seems like an attempt at an “artistic” trailer gone terrible wrong).

Say what again? A city in the middle of the desert, consumed by a sand storm, ominously voiced bad guy from another trailer, and a team of military man sent there to sort out the mess?
Reminds me of Jericho. They sure have this supernatural vibe in the trailer, so who knows, maybe it won’t be that usual brownmiddleeastshooter.
