The chaps over at PCG spotted that there’s now a game-footage trailer out for Futuremark’s forthcoming tower-defence game, Unstoppable Gorg. The orbital pathing makes for an interesting uh spin (sorry) on the usual tower defence doings, but it’s nevertheless a bit of a shame that Futuremark’s next game wasn’t quite as ambitious as the ludicrous astronaut-shooter, Shattered Horizon. Unstoppable Gorg is due to land next year.

It’s a shame I invariably get bored of tower defence games within a few levels, as I love the presentation of this. The sunshine robot guy is clearly best.

Believe it or not, I am ACTUALLY bored of Tower Defense games. I may need to give them a year off or something. Skipping the Defense Grid Portal DLC, too.

I’m in this game beta and yes, it’s another tower defense (even if you have orbits and such) but it’s actually quite good

The game they’re actually producing is very disappointing compared to the awesome teaser they had. I was hoping to see something a bit more interesting done with the theme/setting than tower defence.
Still, I don’t dislike good tower defence games, hopefully this is one of them.
