Neutronized’s Roar Rampage Is The Best Of All Games

By John Walker on March 29th, 2012 at 10:59 pm.

YES.

I have no way of knowing that for sure, not having played it. But I’ve looked at it. I’ve watched a video of it on the internet, and I’ve pasted it below. If you watch it I’ll think you’ll find yourself agreeing that Neutronized‘s Roar Rampage is indeed the best of all games.

The game will be up on creator Gionathan Pesaresi’s site, Neutronized.com, very soon he says. In the meantime you can head there and play Ghosts Stole My Puppy, Graveyard Maniacs, and games we’ve actually played and are definitely good rather than ones I liked the names of, like Sky Island and Slime Laboratory.

Alternative headline: Rampage was for babies.

I can use Kinect/Wiimotes and flail my arms around to hit helicopters out of the sky, yes?

I think the elbow pad is my favorite feature from the video.

That expositionary text at the start was pretty redundant. Like I need a reason to have Godzilla demolish buildings with boxing gloves and assorted oversized tools of destruction.

    • cyrenic says:

No, the exposition was essential to the gameplay. How can games be art without exposition?

    BEST.

It’s not quite Rampage HD but it looks fun. It’ll probably transfer over to tablets and such quite nicely too.

  8. ZyloMarkIII says:

Looks like this game is ready to knock out the competition.

Is this what happened to Michael at the end of Lost?

It’s his pensive expression that does it.

Aw man, I played so much Rampage would I was little. I think I went through all fifty states, solo, which was a terrible idea. Still, such a great concept; who doesn’t want to be a gigantic, city-destroying monster?

  13. Shadram says:

Why would they make a hammer that big, when it’s only possible purpose is to be used by Godzilla? WHY?

    • Milos says:

Too late did they realize the folly of producing giant useless hammers.

  14. Gabe McGrath says:

You know, Bioware could have avoided ALL that “whinge change the ending” malarkey if they just thought to include a giant dinosaur in ME3 who has BOXING GLOVES THAT SHOOT LIGHTNING.

So you haven’t collected an EMS rating of 6000? You totally missed out.

      • Robert says:

The Godzilla ending is only for people who did all sidequests, unlocked the multiplayer content and collected all the cereal codes.

This looks like a game that delivers on the promise of Rampage by making you actually look and feel powerful.

This looks like it handles like Envirobear. Which is a good thing, I love that game.

    • drlemon says:

I’m thinking that too, but with a tad of Garden Gnome Carnage. Which is a very, VERY good thing.

  17. Frank says:

Wow. Their games play exactly like Nitrome’s, what with the un-incentivized collectibles, one-new-thing per level, etc.

  18. Jim9137 says:

If I squint my eyes, it looks a bit like Stunts.
