The trailer for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph, with its abundance of gaming cameos, seems to have won over all but the grumpiest of Earth’s residents. Even I cracked a smile, although I continued to smile as I watched grimly unnerving British horror film Kill List afterwards so don’t read too much into my facial expressions. I’m all but certain that there will be a Kinect controlled mini-game laden nightmare of a 3D platdeformation to herald the film’s November release, but right now you can play something better. Fix-It Felix, the arcade game that Wreck-It Ralph escapes from. It’s simple, Donkey Kongy and jolly good fun.

Last time I had that much fun I’d just been told the veins in my ball sac were distended.

Well, I’ll be damned. That’s high praise, considering the source.

I can’t play! Do I have to insert a coin in my computer?
11/06/2012 at 23:16 Justoffscreen says:
Yeah, what am I missing here? It simply stays on the “insert coin” screen. Am I missing some clever answer?

Click the game screen (it’s kind of small) and tap space

Yeah that doesn’t work at all. Tried in three different browsers. Ironic game title is ironic.

Because I freakin’ love it, I decided to watch the trailer on that website again. Afterwards it gave me the option to wreck the trailer.
Then that git turned up and fixed it. Bah, no wonder Ralph left the game. What a jerk.

Can we talk about Kill List here?
That film left me feeling empty, it was completely horrible and genuinely disturbing.

films about lists generally are. Bucket list was probably as bad.

Schindlers list as well.

It lost me a little in the final third but the coagulating mood was almost unbearable, and I mean that in a good way since that’s what it aimed for. And just to be clear, I didn’t actually smile through it. I grimaced.

Every time I think video games have nothing new to teach me, new wisdom emerges. Today’s lesson: You can fix broken windows by hitting them with a hammer.

Okay, I don’t know what’s going on here, but I really got into that little game on their website.

Kind of fun. The controls could be more precise, but it’s ok for an advert-game. score 65350, damn it gets hard at around 55000 when Ralph starts breaking the windows you have already repaired.
