This seems like something that must have happened before… Deja vu! Anyway, this is also one of those games you should play before it (as will presumably happen since this doesn’t seem to be anything to do with Konami) it gets taken off-line and/or rebranded six months later as something else. Bombermine is a browser version of Bomberman with 1000 people online on vast, regenerating maps. Just put your name in and jump in. I’m playing it right now! Bomb me up.

Not to shit on RPS’ reach, but the game was posted to reddit today and is currently the topvoted post on /r/WebGames, which probably has more to do with it being down than this article.

I remember a bomberman online I played a lot of back in, like, 1999. Was on some french-sounding site, and it was a lot of fun when it worked. This is exciting.

Sounded like it would be something very interesting and fun, but trying it… it’s not very good. People can move diagonally and they can even push your bombs.
